Christmas at Stockton House
Christmas splendour arrived at Stockton House! The lovely Steph and Nick brought all the festive magic to Stockton on the 17th December 2022 and wow are you in for a treat!
The night before the wedding
The celebrations started the night before the wedding with a beautiful two course menu in the dining room which were served to Steph & Nick’s parents that were staying over at Stockton the night before. This was followed by a paired champagne and wine tasting evening in our incredible vaulted wine cellar under candlelight.
Let the wedding celebrations begin…
Steph and her bridesmaids had an early start with tea and pastries as hair and makeup arrived at 6.30am. Nick had a more relaxed morning with both dads (apart from having to nip home to feed their adorable bunny!)
Guests are arriving in style
At 11:00am guests began to arrive on the Apley Estate. As their lovely guests entered Stockton House for the very first time they were greeted by our hosts in our stylish drawing room for some welcome tea and coffee on a frosty morning.
The wedding ceremony
At Stockton House, you have so many options in terms of where to hold your ceremony. Steph & Nick chose to get married in our Secret Walled Garden overlooking the stunning views of Apley. Our beautiful Secret Walled Garden was decorated with festive reds and bold white and green floral installations with of course two twinkly Christmas trees adorning either side of the room. The abundance of lanterns and candles made it look so dreamy and romantic! It was such a great moment to be a part of – we’re all about the moments and memories after all.
It’s official
The vows have been exchanged and it’s official! A huge congratulations to the happy couple. Our team of hosts began to serve guests a selection of mouth-watering and bespoke canapés that Steph & Nick crafted with our chefs! And of course accompanied by the all important glass of mulled wine and champagne!

The wedding breakfast begins
As the day begins to unfold, guests begin to take their seats in the stunning secret walled garden dining room for the very first time. This unique, purpose-built space is beautifully decorated with reds, whites and green festive foliage and oodles of candles with clear vases. A bespoke restaurant for the day, Steph & Nick designed it with three lovely long tables – perfect for their guests to mingle whilst tucking in to a delicious wedding breakfast menu.

After their delicious wedding breakfast menu, our lovely guests flocked to watch the happy couple cut their beautiful wedding cake for the first time as newlyweds.
Let’s get this party started
As the evening arrived… Guests were delighted when entering the dining room within the house as the fun of Vegas had arrived and the Casino was ready and waiting! A little later on it was time for their first dance as a married couple. Guests began to join the dance floor in our beautiful secret walled garden dining room before the evening food was served. At Stockton House, you can have whatever evening food you’d like on your wedding day, Steph & Nick chose moorish pulled pork on soft white buns.

The morning after the wedding day, guests enjoyed a delicious and much needed Full English served in our stunning dining room. Recalling moments and memories of the day before and brushing away the cobwebs and fuzzy heads! At Stockton House, all staying guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast of their choice. Simply let us know your likes and dislikes, and our chefs will craft the perfect breakfast for you on your wedding day.
