Our second wedding at Stockton House! The lovely Emily & Luke were our second couple to be greeted with our brand new, exclusive wedding venue in sunny Shropshire.
The night before the wedding
The celebrations started the night before the wedding with a relaxed evening of pizza, beers and champagne on the terrace. With excitement building for the wedding day, our chefs crafted a delicious selection of pizzas including Mediterranean Vegetable, Classic Margarita, Pepperoni & N’Duja Sausage and Pulled Duck, Hoisin & Spring Onion which were served to Emily & Luke’s nearest and dearest that were staying over at Stockton the night before. This was followed by a champagne and wine tasting evening in our incredible vaulted wine cellar, accompanied by mouth-watering cheese boards which our chefs perfectly paired with the champagnes and wines.
Let the wedding celebrations begin…
Hair and make-up started early on Saturday morning. Our chefs prepared a continental breakfast with some much-needed coffee in the bridal suite. The groom had an early appointment at the barbers and came back to Stockton for his favourite breakfast – Eggs Benedict!
Guests are arriving in style
At 12:00pm guests began to arrive on the Apley Estate. As their lovely guests entered Stockton House for the very first time they were greeted by our hosts in our stylish drawing room.
The wedding ceremony
At Stockton House, you have so many options in terms of where to hold your ceremony. Emily & Luke chose to get married in our unique Victorian turning house in the stunning gardens. Our bespoke Victorian turning house was decorated with classic and bold white and green floral installations. After they exchanged their beautiful vows and signed the register, our lovely couple were turned 360 degrees and they were officially married! It was such a great moment to be a part of – we’re all about the moments and memories after all.
It’s official
The vows have been exchanged and it’s official! A huge congratulations to the happy couple. Our team of hosts began to serve guests a selection of mouth-watering and bespoke canapés that Emily & Luke crafted with our chefs! Followed by games on the lawns here at Stockton House – what better way to get guests mingling than with some lovely old school games!?

The wedding breakfast begins
As the day begins to unfold, guests begin to take their seats in the stunning secret walled garden dining room for the very first time. This unique, purpose-built space is beautifully decorated with earthy, green flowers and rustic wooden centerpieces. A bespoke restaurant for the day, Emily & Luke designed it with three lovely long tables – perfect for their guests to mingle whilst tucking in to a delicious sharing wedding breakfast menu.

After their delicious sharing wedding breakfast menu, our lovely guests flocked to our stylish drawing room as they watched the happy couple cut their beautiful wedding cake for the first time as newlyweds.

It’s time for cocktail hour! Emily & Luke wanted to serve their guests his and hers cocktails. So our lovely hosts created and served classic Old Fashioned and a fresh Gin-Based French 47 Cucumber.
As evening guests arrive… It’s time for their first dance as a married couple. Guests began to join the dance floor in our beautiful secret walled garden dining room before the evening food was served. At Stockton House, you can have whatever evening food you’d like on your wedding day, Emily & Luke chose a delicious evening BBQ.

The morning after the wedding day, guests enjoyed a delicious and much needed continental breakfast and bacon & sausage rolls served on our garden terrace and lawn. Recalling moments and memories of the day before and brushing away the cobwebs and fuzzy heads! At Stockton House, all staying guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast of their choice.
